Way Back When

This page is dedicated to pictures and articles submitted by our web visitors

I am glad that I can share these. My mother's grandfather Wilford Smith was a nephew of Rebecca Smith Shaw. There are three photos of her and Rueben and one of their 50th anniversary. Two photos are from Main Street and are very easy to identify. One photo is of Rueben Shaw's Mill. I am sorry but there are no dates on the photos. One picture is of a building after a fire.  Click here for all pictures

Thanks again,
M. Horn

We now have a copy of a 1908 Farmland Magnet on the website!

We want to extend our thanks to Gail Parish for sharing these pictures

This photo is either Isaac Parks [1849-1904] or James Parks [1790/91-??].

Unknown date.

This is a photo of either my great grandfather, Isaac Parks, or my great great grandfather, James Parks, of Farmland, IN. The photo is a professional taken by E. S. Perdine of Farmland, IN. I don't know the year. If anyone knows which man it is and if anyone has any information about the Parkses in about the 1850-1860 time period, please click here to send FarmlandIndiana.org updated info about this photo.

Thank you very much, Donna Toole
