Bright Ideas
is located in the small town of Farmland in east central Indiana. The
studio is on Main Street, which is also state highways 32 and 1.
Farmland is located 69 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The company was
founded at this location in 1978 by Patrick Caskey. Pat is still the
owner and president of the company and has extended his education and
experience through the years with workshops in glass beveling, slumping,
fusing and design.

The
restoration of church windows and the design and fabrication of new
church windows is still a large portion of the business. Other
commissions have included residences, hospitals, restaurants,
universities, banks, court houses and businesses.
Visitors are
welcome to tour the 4,000 sq. ft. studio. The studio is on the National
Register of Historic Places and was built in 1918. During the period
1995-2000, the building was carefully restored, preserving its unique
character. |
The
studio has the latest in glass working equipment, including glass
bandsaws, sandblasting equipment, four-stage beveler and kilns used for
painting, firing, and bending glass. Bright Ideas craftsmen have the
expertise to creatively design, restore, or completely manufacture,
virtually every size or style of stained glass window.
Many window repairs can be done on site by
Bright Ideas professionals. Replacing broken pieces, repairing cracks or
straightening bowed windows can often be done without the cost or
inconvenience of removing the window and bringing it to the studio.
Although
restoration and repair constitute much of our business, we will work
with you to create your own original stained glass treasure.
