Beginning Ballet Dance
Classes
HISTORIC FAMRLAND USA will begin accepting registration for the
PRE-PRIMARY and PRIMARY BALLET CLASSES beginning Tuesday, August 12
at 10:00am end date is September 10, 2008. The classes will be
offered in two different age groups. Registration is available
at The Farmland Cultural Center or by calling 765-468-7631.
Registration is limited and available on a first-come, first-served
basis.

The ballet classes are an introduction to the fundamentals of
ballet in a fun environment. Students will learn about posture,
basic positions of the feet and arms, early ballet exercises, how to
jump safely and enjoy creative expression through movement and
music. The classes will based on the syllabus of The Royal Academy
of Dancing. Information on this globally practiced method is
available at www.radusa.com. Instructor Julie Lyn Barber is a former
Student Member of the Royal Academy of Dancing, having graduated
from the Children's Syllabus and completed the Elementary Vocational
Level Examination. She has remained active as a dancer, teacher and
choreographer throughout her career and is currently pursuing her
final R.A.D. Teaching Certification. More information about Julie

The ballet classes are part of the "Art Classes for Everyone"
program at the Farmland Cultural Center. Past and future classes
include painting, mixed media artworks, theatre, music and dance.
New class submissions by freelance arts teachers are always welcome.

Pre-Primary Class
(4-5 yrs old) will meet Tuesdays from 3:30pm-4pm
Primary Class (6-8 yrs old) who have never studied ballet - Tuesdays
4-4:30pm
WHERE
Location: Classes will meet at Farmland Cultural Center (next to
the Chocolate Moose)
Tuition is $20 per month and is
payable on the first class of each month.
