"HARVEST FESTIVAL" ON OCTOBER 10 & 11
Celebration Includes Farmers Market, Artisan Displays & Live
Entertainment
Historic Farmland USA, an Indiana
Main Street organization in Randolph County, will present its annual
"Harvest Festival," a town-wide celebration of locally produced
food, arts, crafts and entertainment, on Friday, October 10, 2008
from 5:00 - 9:00pm and Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 10:00am -
6:00pm.
WHERE:
The events will take place in the downtown business district of
Farmland and will include a local farmers market, artisan booths,
unique food vendors & bake sale, family games & activities,
children's theatre and live musical entertainment. Local businesses
will also stay open late and offer special discounts for visitors to
the event.
Returning artisans and farmers
market vendors from previous events include jewelry makers, garden
produce sellers and prepared food booths featuring locally made
salsa, tomato sauce, relish, pickles, fudge and more. Entertainment
will include a live performance by The Howling Wolf Band, a
barbershop quartet, children's theatre from Muncie Civic featuring
"Thumbelina," and free games at The Farmland Cultural Center where
participants can win valuable Farmland Gift Certificates. The events
